Well Rounded
On a daily basis I work as an Art Director for the nations third largest custom car magazine. Street Thunder Magazine has received many design awards over the years such as Best Over All Design, Best use of Photography, ect…, but there is one I’m most proud of. This years MMPA gave Street Thunder an award for “Best How-To Article” written by myself. Rarely does an Art Director write a story within our organization, let alone win an award for it. I’m a much better designer than a writer, but it sure feels great to be recognized for something I put a lot of effort into. Thanks to the MMPA and my editorial staff for putting a final polish on my work.

H.A.M.B. Art
Challenge-Winner
The H.A.M.B (an automotive message board) with 91,000 members puts on an art contest every couple of months. They pick a classic car and ask artist to illustrate their interpretation of the vehicle. The vehicle was a ’40 ford, in which I submitted an illustration of a smoothed, chopped, decked, and pancaked version done in Illustrator. Among the 60 participants mine was chosen as the best. This was really a great honor since there are some really good artist participating on this messagebaord in the H.A.M.B. Friday Art Show and the Art Challenge.

THE MAGAZINE I WORK ON DAILY

Street Thunder is the nations third largest custom car magazine behind Car Craft and Hot Rod. It's focus is American rear-wheel drive vehicles from the '30s to present. It doesn't niche itself like other publications do, figuring that car-guys are car-guys and love to see all makes and models. Each issue includes features on different custom cars and has tones of tech articles for the beginer all the way to the expert.
